- Weight of Cricket Balls is between 155.9 and 163.0 grams.
- Circumference of Cricket Balls is of 224mm from one side and 229mm from the other side. its not a absolute sphere.
- Cricket ball is made of cork that is covered with tightly wound string, and two or four piece leather case.
- There are basically 3 types of balls Kookaburra , SG, Duke.
As we all know cricket is a passion i cannot describe words for cricket. Now a days cricket is most dominent game which is playing a vital role on our upcoming new generation. Everyone wants to hear a latest news about cricket. Lets talk about pitch of cricket now the field is usually circular or oval in shape.
Cricket pitch is 22 yards (20.12 m) long and 10 feet (3.05 m) wide. The popping crease at either end is 4 feet (1.22 m) in front of the bowling crease, to which it runs parallel.
There are basically 3 types of cricket pitches:-
- DEAD PITCH- These kind of pitches are not bowlers friendly these pitches are prepared for batsman because pitch is dark in colour every single bit grass is rolled in.
- DUSTY PITCH- These kind of pitch are common in Asia like in India, Sri lanka. These kind of pitch are prepared for spinners so that bowlers can turn the balls.
- GREEN PITCH- These Kind of pitch are prepared for bowlers they used to love ball on this kind of surface. Its become very hard for batsman to score run on this surface that is why this surface is also known as low scoring surface.
